The Creaking & Pale Oak Woodset Add-On brings to Minecraft Bedrock an early, handcrafted interpretation of the Creaking mob and the Pale Oak woodset as originally showcased during Minecraft Live 2024. This add-on was created in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.30, before Mojang officially introduced these features in 1.21.40, offering a unique pre-release version for players who enjoyed the original Live reveal. Addon Overview
This add-on recreates the blocks and mechanics showcased in Minecraft Live 2024, including:
- Pale Oak Logs, Planks & Stripped variants
- Doors, Trapdoors, Buttons, Pressure Plates
- Fences, Fence Gates & Decorative blocks
- Pale Oak Trees with natural generation via saplings
- Saplings can be obtained by breaking short grass (10% chance) and grow using bone meal.
Creaking Mob (Early Concept Version)
The add-on features an early rendition of the mysterious Creaking, based on its Live 2024 presentation. Two spawning methods are included:
- Spawn Egg Creaking
- Can be attacked
- Behaves as a vulnerable entity
- Creaking Heart Summoning
- Place the Creaking Heart between two logs
- Summons an invulnerable Creaking
- When hit, it emits particles directing you toward the Heart
- This mechanic reflects the Minecraft Live 2024 teaser version, not the final 1.21.40 behavior.
Notes
- Created before the official Pale Oak and Creaking release (1.21.40).
- Some mechanics differ from Mojang’s final version.
- Custom redstone behavior (buttons, plates) follows Bedrock limitations. No redstone output is possible.
- Custom biomes are not supported in modern Minecraft versions (post-1.18).
